The true value of the Sectors Summit: The Next Generation is simple- collaboration and partnership; and together, recognizing the true benefits and power these actions bring forth. In times of economic crisis, one thing that can surmount any obstacle is groups coming together and using the synergy of partnership to move forward and reach a common goal. The Colorado Workforce Development Council understands the importance of convening partners, and we recognize the plethora of opportunities when public partners align, and together, we collectively work with industry. This is why we believe in the power of Sector Partnerships- regional collaboration of business and industry, in partnership with workforce development, economic development, and education to ensure that workers are prepared to meet the growing demands of specific industry sectors within a geographic area.
Over the past year and a half, our partnership with the Office of Economic Development and International Trade (OEDIT) and the opportunity presented by the Colorado Blueprint and 14 Statewide Key Industry Networks has created a clear call-to-action for more local, regional and state stakeholders to advance sector partnerships to a higher level of impact, at a much broader scale. At the Sectors Summit, we look forward to building off existing partnerships and developing new partnerships so that together, we can work for a vital economy- where every Coloradoan has access to meaningful employment, and Colorado business has access to a skilled workforce, the vision of the Colorado Workforce Development Council.
