Colorado Community College System (CCCS)

 

The Colorado Community College System is made up of 13 colleges across 35 campuses throughout the state and serves over 163,000 students each year.   It’s the state’s largest system and “…the statewide pathway to individual achievement and economic vitality.”

 

The CCCS generates $3+ billion in economic impact by serving learners motivated to get an outstanding education with minimal to no debt. Additionally, business and industry partnerships are instrumental in preparing students for their future careers.  Find out more at the CCCS website.

Colorado Department of Higher Education

Colorado Department of Higher Education (CDHE)

 

The Colorado Department of Higher Education has the following divisions: College Assist, College in Colorado, CollegeInvest, Colorado GEAR UP, Division of Private Occupational Schools, History Colorado and StudyColorado.

 

With Lt. Gov. Joseph A. Garcia as the Executive Director, the CDHE or DHE has focused on several key topics including admissions, Colorado academic standards, P20 partnerships, guaranteed transfer, concurrent enrollment, educator preparation and workforce outcomes, remedial education, and skills for jobs.  Find out more at the CDEH website.

Colorado Department of Education

Colorado Department of Education (CDE)

 

The Colorado Department of Education focuses on student preparation for post-high school success. The department has outlined goals around student achievement, educator effectiveness, school and district performance and state agency operations.

 

According to their website they’ve set, “a clear vision for increasing student and overall system performance. CDE continually supports the advancement and improvement of the state’s education system to prepare all learners for success in a rapidly changing global workplace.”
